AUDIT MANAGER
This is an opportunity to join a respected, independent firm of Chartered Accountants that offers the stability of an established practice together with the momentum of a business that is continuing to grow, adapt, and invest in its people. Led by experienced partners and directors, the firm provides accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to clients across a diverse industry base, with a strong focus on delivering value through technical expertise, commercial insight, and trusted client relationships. They are seeking an analytical and client-focused Audit Manager to become part of their team.
The Role
The Audit Manager will report to Firm Partners and the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:
- Overseeing Audit Seniors, Staff Accountants, and Assistant Accountants, ensuring the efficient delivery of audit and non‑audit services across a diverse client portfolio.
- Planning and performing audits in accordance with Firm standards and International Standards on Auditing.
- Overseeing engagement documentation, reviews, and sign‑offs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Presenting key issues to client management and address queries with professionalism.
- Preparing financial statements, management letters, and other communications for partner review.
- Managing job scheduling, engagement budgets, and report variances to partners.
- Delegating and supervising work across the audit team, ensuring timely completion of engagements.
- Mentoring and training junior staff, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional growth.
- Researching technical issues, remaining current with GAAP/IFRS standards, and ensuring compliance with CPD requirements.
- Assisting partners with client billings, collections, and other administrative tasks.
The Candidate
The Audit Manager will:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5–7 years of progressive audit experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Have a professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with compliance to CPD requirements.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and International Standards on Auditing.
- Have proven ability to manage multiple audit engagements and deliver results under pressure.
- Possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Be committed to professionalism, ethics, and continuous improvement.
