CAREER OPPORTUNITY - Food & Beverage Manager

The Role

The Food & Beverage Manager reports to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for:

  • Daily Operations: Managing restaurant and bar functions, implementing policies, and monitoring KPIs.
  • Staff Leadership: Coaching, co-ordinating training, scheduling and motivating the Food & Beverage team.
  • Budget Management: Controlling food and labour costs, and adhering to the Food & Beverage budget.
  • Stock Control: Maintaining accurate inventories, monitoring par levels, and reducing pilferage.
  • Menu Development: Collaborating on menu design and offerings.
  • Customer Service: Upholding service standards, handling complaints and driving guest satisfaction.
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.

The Candidate

The Food & Beverage Manager should:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food & Beverage, Culinary, Food Service Management or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in hospitality with an emphasis on Food & Beverage management.
  • Possess the ability to understand, analyse and interpret numerical data.
  • Have strong managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Be proficient in the use of restaurant management software and various components of              Microsoft Office Suite; namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Be flexible to work varying hours, weekends, and holidays.
