                                         CAREER OPPORTUNITY- WINE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Our client, a well-established wholesale company with over 37 years in the industry, specialises in supplying wines, champagne, port, and a wide range of dry and frozen food products to hotels and restaurants. We are currently seeking a proactive and self-motivated sales professional to join their team as a Wine Sales Representative.


The Role
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, responsibilities will include: 

  • Marketing, promotion and sale of all Wines, Champagne, Port and Tropics Infusions and associated bar products.
  • Working with the Senior Management of the company to develop strategies to increase sales and listings in the market (Hotels, Bars, Restaurants, Villas, etc).
  • Managing budgets set for the portfolio.
  • Analysing market trends and assisting in identifying potential growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Proposing and assisting with potential promotional activities.
  • Managing, developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers for the Wine and Tropics portfolio.
  • Ensuring that all orders and customer queries, if applicable, are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Communicating any delays and/or variances of orders to customers as soon as possible, providing alternatives when suitable.
  • Monitoring stock levels and safeguarding that adequate levels are attained based on the coming season.
  • Working with client management to facilitate training and awareness of company products including any minor advertising or promotion options that would potentially increase sales.


The Candidate
The Wine Sales Representative should possess:

  • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in sales, preferably within the wine, food, or hospitality sectors.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with hotels, restaurants, and other clients.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • A valid drivers’ license and their own vehicle.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


This role offers a base salary with additional earnings through commission.
