CAREER OPPORTUNITY - ASSISTANT ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

Our client, Island Heritage Insurance Co Ltd, a leading provider of personal and commercial insurance, including property, casualty, motor and yacht, is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to fill the position of Assistant Accounts Administrator for a period of twelve (12) months.

The Role

The Assistant Accounts Administrator will report to the Senior Accounts Administrator and will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of the accounts receivable sub-ledger for the legacy receipts.
  • Assisting with the monthly reconciliation reports for Barbados and the Cayman Islands.
  • Assisting with the accounts payable process i.e. posting and payment of customer invoices for local and overseas vendors.
  • Managing and maintaining the payment online portal gateway for receipting and allocating monies collected.
  • Filing of the Finance Department documents received by mail.
  • Assisting with the preparation of commission or other clients’ payments.
  • Providing general assistance for Administrators, Cashiers and other team members as requested 

The Candidate

The Assistant Accounts Administrator will:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of three years’ progressive experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processing.
  • Be knowledgeable of Dynamics GP.
  • Have a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Be proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite; namely Word and Excel including hands-on experience with spreadsheets and formulas.
  • Be able to work unsupervised with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and engage team members to achieve results.
