CAREER OPPORTUNITY - OFFICE MANAGER

Our client, a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) is seeking a seasoned operations professional to fill the position of Office Manager.

The Role

The Office Manager will report to the Caribbean General Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the operations of the company, particularly shipments for clients and matters pertaining to air or seaport operations and Customs.   
  • Overseeing the smooth flow of services, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and monitoring processes to improve productivity, quality of service, and profitability.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and support business growth.
  • Monitoring the Profit & Loss of the operation, explaining variances and working to ensure profitability and financial stability.
  • Developing and executing strategies to achieve the projected budgets and managing expenses effectively.
  • Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and performance.
  • Working closely with corporate leadership, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance company growth and operational efficiency.

The Candidate

The Office Manager will:

  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years’ office management experience with sound knowledge of air or seaport operations and familiarity with Customs and Customs Procedures.  A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field would be an asset.
  • Possess a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
  • Be au fait with export and import operations, including compliance with governmental, Customs, carrier, security, and hazardous cargo regulations.
  • Be receptive to adopting innovative technology.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Be proficient in the use of the various components of Microsoft Office Suite; namely Word and Excel.
